About Orange Cap Games
Orange Cap Games is a game and experience design studio focused on bringing intellectual property (IP) to life through physical and digital activations. Its core product is Vibes TCG, a hybrid trading card game featuring Pudgy Penguins characters that combines physical cards with digital gameplay. The studio also acquired the Moonbirds NFT collection, planning to integrate it into its expanding Web3 gaming ecosystem.
The company's core strength lies in bridging traditional collectible card culture with blockchain technology, creating immersive hybrid experiences. It developed a custom card material called Orange Core Paper, engineered for high shuffle durability and smooth gameplay, addressing the quality gap often found in web3 card products.
Market pain points include the disconnect between NFT projects and practical use cases, as well as the lack of polished physical-digital gaming experiences in the web3 space. Orange Cap solves this by designing products that feel premium in both physical and digital formats, while giving IP holders meaningful ways to engage with their collections.
In the past six months (2026-03-13 to 2026-09-13), the studio released the fourth Vibes TCG booster set in August 2026. In May 2026, it acquired Moonbirds, Mythics, and Oddities from Yuga Labs, bringing these collections into its gaming ecosystem. The acquisition led to a significant price surge for Moonbirds NFTs, reflecting market confidence in the studio's ability to develop the brand.
